Our Story
Juni + G was created by us, my mom and me, because of our love for natural dyeing and sustainable clothes. Growing up, my mom always made me clothes, and recently she started making them for my children, Juniper and Gideon. After discovering the beauty of natural dyeing, we decided to merge our two passions and create Juni + G. We then started this journey with the intention of creating blankets and clothing that come in beautiful shapes and colors, are made to last, and are healthy for your little one without hurting the planet in the process. We only use organic double gauze and linen, and all our dyes are non-toxic and derived from nature. That means no chemicals and toxins will be touching your babies’ skin.
We take care to make pieces that will last for seasons so they can grow with your child. The dresses can become tops and the rompers are roomy with adjustable straps. When the clothing is outgrown, it can be passed down to the next child so new memories can be created.
All our clothing pieces can be made with your choice of organic linen or organic double gauze. Linen is one of the most durable and sustainable fabrics, and it gets softer with every wash. It’s cool in the summer and warm in the winter making it one of the most versatile fabrics. The organic double gauze is extremely soft and lightweight. It’s a great option for clothing, and it’s what we use for all our baby blankets and teethers.
We are the ones who are hand dyeing and sewing every piece for your little ones, and every item is made to order from our home to yours. Due to the special process of natural dyeing and handmade items, every piece is unique and may have a slightly different shade or subtle flaws. This is the beauty of natural dyes and makes every piece truly one of a kind.
Right now, our blankets and teething rings are available, and our childrens' clothing will be on the site soon. Stay tuned!
We appreciate your visiting our shop and look forward to making something beautiful to accompany your little ones on all their adventures.

Kyle + Christine
Our Process
Everything is naturally dyed by hand and sewn by us in our homes, making it a truly one of a kind piece. We only use all natural dyes derived from nature so there are no synthetic or toxic chemicals, so it is safe for your little one and for the planet. We use 100% organic linen and 100% organic double gauze, and after prepping the fabric by using three different baths, we are ready to dye. We use a combination of madder, myrobalan, quebacho, indigo, cutch, alkanet, and gallnut, which are all various parts of plants. Then we use soda ash and iron to add special tones to each shade.
As much as the dyeing process is a science with specific calculations for how much dye we use by weight of fabric, each dye pot slightly varies. It’s always exciting to pull the fabric out and see what shades and tones the fabric will take. That is why there can be slight variations to the color shown online, but it makes every piece unique!
Even though it is a science, there is so much art to it, and we love playing with new combinations of dyes and different variables to create new colors. Right now, we have eight colors available for all the items, but we will launch new colors for the next season. We love feedback and suggestions so, if there is a color you want to see or one you really love, drop us a line and let us know at hello@juniandg.com.
FAQ
We recommend washing our pieces in cold water with eco-friendly detergents and only line-drying. If you need to treat a stain, test the sample fabric we sent you to ensure it doesn’t discolor the garment.
We do not accept returns as each piece is made to order, specially for you. If there is a problem with your garment or you have any concerns, please reach out to us so we can help you as best as we can.
